Instead of counting candles, Or tallying the years, Contemplate your blessings, As your birthday nears.
Consider special people Who love you, and who care, And others who’ve enriched your life Just by being there.
Think about the memories Passing years can never mar, Experiences great and small That have made you who you are.
Another year is a happy gift, So cut your cake, and say, "Instead of counting birthdays, I count blessings every day!" By Joanna Fuchs
Happy Birthday, to my best friend. I miss you. I love you. I wish you were here to party it up and celebrate.
I miss all the things that we aren’t going to get to do. I can’t believe you’re going to miss the arrival of your niece. I will spoil her rotten and then some (I promise). Christian is such an adorable little guy. He is going to be an amazing big brother. I have been keeping up on your candy promise.
With every big moment in my life there is a twinge of pain because I can’t call you to chat. It’s hard. I want to laugh with you. I want to cry with you. I want to be us but we can’t be.
The birthday poem reminded me of the effect you’ve had on my life. You’ve made be think constantly of my blessings. The ultimate lesson you left me with was to appreciate and cherish each moment. I am very lucky to have had such an amazing friend that has taught me so much in life and death.
Stay close. Keep everyone safe, healthy and happy. Thank you for giving me the ability to appreciate now and to not take today for granted. I am not sure of much in this world but I know that the loss of your friendship is and always will be a major turning point for me. I think about you everyday. Thank you for giving me the ability to appreciate the present. Stay close. Happy Birthday, Birthday Girl!
